Expert counsel Paul Melo is here to make things easy and understandable for you.

Meet Paul Melo...

I was raised in the Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca area as one of five children by hardworking parents, Sam and Emma Melo. Dad has retired from the Army and now runs a small custom silk screening business here in Sierra Vista. Mom has completed a Master’s of Social Work from Arizona State University and now works at the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension educating school aged children on the benefits of healthy eating and having a healthy lifestyle.

I attended elementary and middle school on Ft. Huachuca, and then High School at Buena. After graduating from Buena, I moved to Tucson and attended Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.

Just prior to finishing undergraduate studies in Business Management, my wife and I were joined in matrimony. After earning a degree, I worked as a Manager in Training with a wholesale supply company for the construction industry. I worked in Phoenix selling Air Conditioning equipment to building contractors. Selling air conditioning in Phoenix was easy, especially during the housing boom. We moved to Prescott Valley where I continued the Manager in Training process but the housing market began to change rapidly and along with it the prospects of continued advancement in a company that relied on growth for potential opportunities. I decided to attend law school as a way to provide better opportunities for my family, which was growing. At this point we had the sweetest little baby girl of 9 months and we moved to Michigan to attend Thomas M. Cooley school of law. While working towards a JD, I was selected to participate in a legal clinic administered by the school where, under the supervision of a professor, I was able to gain hands on experience working directly with clients. This clinical experience led to a job with a firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, during which time I prepared to sit for the Arizona State Bar. I passed the exam and was admitted to the bar in Arizona in June 2010.

While living in Nevada, our family size increased with the addition of our second darling baby girl. We then moved back to Arizona where I worked with estate planning attorney, Mr. Michael L. Holdsworth, who continues to practice in this field in Prescott, Arizona. This mentoring has given me the desire to start a law firm and focus on estate planning. I continue to have a great rapport with Holdsworth Law Firm and I enjoy this field of practice.

I am committed to establishing a firm that focuses on a plain English approach to estate planning. I want to help each client accomplish their estate planning goals. I live in Sierra Vista with my beautiful wife and our two wonderful daughters. Together we want to help make this a great community while establishing a successful business.
